Meet-Up Location Specifics

Event Schedule – February 18, 2026

3:30 – 5:00 PM | Hot Chocolate & Pre-Race Gathering – Steamboat Square
3:30 – 4:45 PM | On-Site Registration
4:30 PM | Participant Check-In at the tent near Billy Kidd statue, Steamboat Square
               • Bib pick-up for pre-registered participants
4:45 PM | Veterans Center Presentation & Color Guard Ceremony – Steamboat Stage
5:00 PM | Race Start – 90 lb. Division and participants boot packing/snowshoeing
               • Start location: Bottom of Stampede Run
6:30 PM | Race Start – Sans-Weight Division
7:15 – 8:00 PM | Racers Arrive at Thunderhead (restrooms in the lobby will be open)
             • Final lift ride cutoff: 8:00 PM (lifts operating 5:30 – 8:00 PM)
6:30 – 8:00 PM | Racers ski down or take the Steamboat Gondola
8:15 – 9:00 PM | Reception & Awards – Timber & Torch
            • Awards ceremony at 8:30 PM
            • Food and beverages available for purchase

The race will start from the Steamboat Resort Base Area and go up Stampede Run, to Vogue and then up Heavenly Daze. Kindly note there is an 8:00 PM cutoff time to reach Thunderhead. Participants who have not reached Thunderhead by that time will be asked by Ski Patrol to turn around. Those competing in a weighted division will be required to empty their packs before skiing down via the designated uphill route.

Parking will be available at The Knoll parking lot.
